Before you email
- Check that you're running the latest version of Broadsheet from the App Store.
- Restart the app: swipe it away, then open it again.
- Try the question list below first.
How do I add a feed?
Tap Add a feed. Paste the address into the field labelled Site or feed address, then tap Add. You can paste a site's home page and Broadsheet will find its feed. Feed addresses usually end in /feed, /rss, or feed.xml. If you need feeds to start with, see our starter feed list at pokkle.com/broadsheet/feeds/.
A feed won't add. What's wrong?
Check that the address is a real web address. You can paste a bare domain like example.com. Some sites don't offer an RSS feed. If the address looks right and Broadsheet still won't add it, email support@pokkle.com with the address and we'll look into it.
Can I import feeds from another RSS reader?
Yes. Export your feed list from your other reader as an OPML file. In Broadsheet, go to Settings, then tap Import and export feeds. Choose the OPML file and the feeds are added.
How does writing on articles work?
Open any article and tap the pen button in the top bar to start writing with Apple Pencil. If you want to write with your finger too, open the reader menu, go to "What writes on the page," and choose "Pencil and finger." You can export the article as a PDF with your ink on it and the source credited. Writing is free on your first five articles. After that, a one-time in-app purchase unlocks writing on all articles. No subscription.
I bought writing but it's locked again. How do I restore it?
Go to Settings and tap Restore purchase. This works on any device signed in to the same Apple Account you used for the original purchase.
I'm moving to a new device. How do I keep my feeds and annotations?
Your feeds, saved articles, and ink stay on the device where you made them. There is no sync between devices. To move your feed list, export it as an OPML file (Settings, then Import and export feeds) on the old device and import it on the new one. For annotated articles you want to keep, export each one as a PDF before you switch.
Does Broadsheet sync between my iPhone and iPad?
No. Everything stays on the device where you made it. There is no sync and no iCloud storage in this version.
How do I read a single page from a site I don't follow?
Go to the Later tab and paste any web link. Broadsheet will load that page so you can read and write on it without adding the site as a feed.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, find the purchase, and request a refund there.
How do I contact you?
Email support@pokkle.com. We read every message.
