What we collect
Nothing. Broadsheet has no account, no sign-up, no password, no analytics, no crash reporter, and no third-party code. We run no server. Nothing you read or write in the app is sent to us or to anyone else. The App Store privacy label for Broadsheet is "Data Not Collected."
What the app sends over the network
Broadsheet uses the network for two things:
- Fetching the RSS feeds you add. Each request goes straight to the publisher's site.
- Fetching an article's full web page when the feed provides only a short excerpt. That request goes straight to the publisher's site too.
No request goes through our servers. We have no servers.
Where your data lives
Your feeds, read state, saved articles, and ink all stay on the device where you made them. There is no sync between devices. There is no iCloud storage. If you delete the app, that data is deleted with it.
Purchases
The in-app purchase is handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your name, your payment method, or any billing details. Apple's terms govern the transaction.
Children
Broadsheet does not collect data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date. The app does not collect contact details, so we cannot notify you by email. Check this page if you want to see the current version.
