Short version
Cuely keeps your scripts and your recordings on your iPhone. No accounts. No cloud. No tracking. No analytics. Nothing is uploaded. The App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected," because there is nothing to collect.
Where your scripts and videos live
Every script you write and every video you record stays on your device. Scripts are saved in Cuely's own storage on the phone. Finished videos are saved to your Photos when you choose to save them. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is synced to a server, and none of it is read by us.
Delete a script, or delete the app, and that data is gone. There is no server-side copy, because there is no server.
The camera and microphone
Cuely uses the camera and microphone only to record your video, on the device. iOS asks for permission the first time you record, and you can turn it off again in Settings. The live feed is shown so you can read your script over it, and the recording is written to a temporary file on your iPhone.
The scrolling script is an overlay on your screen only. It is never composited into the video, so what you record is the clean camera feed.
Saving to Photos
When you save a finished video, Cuely adds it to your Photos library. This access is add-only: Cuely can place a video into Photos, but it cannot read, browse, or delete anything already in your library. If you would rather not grant Photos access, use Share instead and send the video wherever you like.
No tracking, no third-party code
The app contains no analytics tools, no crash reporters, no ad frameworks, and no third-party libraries. It makes no network requests for your data. It is built with Apple's SwiftUI, AVFoundation, PhotoKit, and StoreKit and ships with no external dependencies.
Your purchase
The one-time purchase that removes the watermark is handled entirely by Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your card, your name, or your Apple ID. The app only learns whether the purchase is active on your device.
