Short version

Tend keeps the people you add, your notes, and your reminders on your iPhone. No accounts. No cloud. No tracking. No analytics. Nothing is uploaded. The App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected," because there is nothing to collect.

Where your information lives

Every person you add, every note you write or dictate, and every reminder Tend sets is saved to a local database on your iPhone. It stays on your device. It is never uploaded, never synced to a server, never read by us.

Delete a person, clear a note, or delete the app, and that information is gone for good. There is no server-side copy, because there is no server.

Your contacts stay yours

When you add people from your address book, Tend only reads your contacts. It never changes, edits, or deletes anything in your address book. Nothing you write in Tend is ever saved back into your phone's contacts, so your private notes never travel with a contact you share.

You can also add people by hand and skip the contacts permission entirely. Tend works fully without it.

The microphone and voice notes

Voice notes use Apple's on-device speech recognition, so iOS asks for microphone and speech-recognition permission the first time you dictate. The audio is transcribed on your iPhone and is never streamed or sent anywhere. Tend does not keep the audio after it becomes text.

Reminders

Reminders to reach out are scheduled as local notifications on your device. They are generated on your iPhone from the dates and notes you set. Nothing about who you keep in touch with leaves your phone to deliver them.

Reaching out

When you tap Call, Text, or Email on someone's card, Tend opens your usual Phone, Messages, or Mail app with that person's number or address filled in. Tend never sends a message itself and never writes anything on your behalf.

No tracking, no third-party code

The app contains no analytics tools, no crash reporters, no ad frameworks, and no third-party libraries. It makes no network requests for your data. It is built with Apple's SwiftUI, SwiftData, Speech, and StoreKit and ships with no external dependencies.

Your purchase

The one-time lifetime unlock is handled entirely by Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your card, your name, or your Apple ID. The app only learns whether the unlock is active on your device.
